| Does
it leak? |
No
it doesn't leak. The seams are continuously welded. The gasket in the
lid seals tight against the flange. The adjustment holes will let water
in, if the the box is submerged. In normal use on the road, it doesn't
leak. |

| Will
the aluminum stay shiny or will it fade? |
The
aluminum will oxidize.To prevent that or to restore the shine, use a
good aluminum polish available at any automotive parts retailer. A
helpful hint is to use a piece of old shag carpet to buff the box. |

| Does
it drag when I go in and out of a parking lot? |
The box
has been designed not to drag on the grade of highway entrances on any
Interstate Highway. States build roads to a different standard and not
all entrances are to code. |

| How
does it do in deep snow? |
The box is
not lower than your trailer hitch. When the vehicle is moving forward it
will not cause more drag in deep snow. When the vehicle is moving in
reverse, it will "push" as much snow as the rear bumper. |

| What
about my license plate? |
On some
vehicles, the box may obscure your license plate. That is common with
many hitch mounted cargo boxes and cargo trays. There are holes in the
box and hardware to remount you license plate. |

| How
much weight can I put in it and on it? |
The "
tongue weight rating of the hitch" that you have on the vehicle is
the load limit. The Hitch Box weighs about 90 pounds, depending on the
model. Remember to include the weight of the box in you load
calculation. It is critical to KEEP THE LOAD CENTERED IN THE MIDDLE OF
THE BOX. |

| What
if I lose the installation hardware? |
The bolts
are standard 1/2"-13 bolts. The 'Hitch pins" are standard
5/8" diameter pins. Both of these items are commercially available.
The 2" square extender can be ordered . |

if I lose the key? |
Take note
of the numbers on the face of the lock.

the box is damaged how do I get it repaired? |
The box is
fully warranted for three years. Repairs to the
box can be done by MIG or TIG welding processes. |
